You might think this is a joke, we sure did, but it seems to be real. For a few years now, KFC has been getting bolder and bolder with its marketing stunts. Remember when the fried chicken company released a novel titled Tender Wings of Desire for mother’s day? We do.

Now the company is back with the most obvious follow-up, a romantic ‘mini movie’. We don’t know much about it, but it might be generous to call it a “mini movie” as it only lasts about 15 minutes. We suspect that “marketing stunt extended commercial” didn’t sound the same.
But we don’t care either; Mario Lopez is a buff Colonel Sanders, ready to reveal the secrets of his herbs and spices (did I really just type that phrase?).
Lifetime says the “mini-movie” will air on the Lifetime channel on December 13 at noon (no time zone mentioned). According to Variety, KFC will also run a promotion through Uber Eats. Anyone who orders orders can get six extra crunchy offers for free with a purchase totaling over $ 20.
We can not wait.
