If you’re looking for a great way to dock and charge your Apple products, there̵
The StudioDock looks like a miniature iMac when you dock an iPad, just add a Bluetooth keyboard and you’re good to go. The bottom of the stand acts as two Qi wireless chargers, the first can deliver 7.5W for your iPhone, and the other can pump up to 5W for your AirPods. Connect your iPad and you can charge quickly via USB-C with 37.5 W.
Kensington even plans to offer an optional Apple Watch charger that you’ll plug into the side later in 2021. Flip the stand and you’ll find a host of ports including a USB-C port that supports 5V / 3A and 9V / 2A charging, three USB-A ports at 5V / 0.9A, a 3.5 mm audio jack and HDMI 2.0 port, an SD card reader and a gigabit Ethernet connection. It’s everything you need for a full desktop setup. Or you can always place it next to a real iMac and wirelessly connect the two devices for dual-screen action.
Kensington will release three models to support 11-inch iPad Pro, 12.9-inch iPad Pro and 10.9-inch iPad Air tablets, each of which attaches magnetically to an iPad and rotates for portrait or landscape orientation positions.
Kensington hasn’t given a release date or price for StudioDock yet, but you can sign up on the company’s site to get notified when it’s available.
