The LEGO Super Mario sets are an absolute hit that even sell out within a day. But for a week or so, rumors about a LEGO Luigi have been making waves. Now it has been almost confirmed, thanks to an accidental listing on Amazon China that has since been withdrawn. But we have the pictures.
If you want to see the full list, you can turn to the Wayback Machine who managed to archive the page before Amazon deleted it. Unfortunately, the details on the page itself were sparse, but thanks to pictures of the box set, we know some details.
LEGO Luigi comes in its own starter pack, just like Mario. In fact, the names are essentially the same, meaning you’ll one day choose between an Adventures with Mario starter course or an Adventures with Luigi starter course (or both!). But while the two sets are very similar (like a warp pipe and course flag), you do get some unique pieces with Luigi’s set.

First, his set comes with a Bone Goomba, instead of the standard Goomba, a Boom Boom instead of Bowser Jr., and a Pink Yoshi. The latter is an excellent addition as the Mario Starter Course does not contain Yoshi – you have to buy a set of Green Yoshi separately.
As for Luigi, LEGO didn’t just paint a Mario that was green and call it a day. The mustache is different, and they gave Luigi a facial hairstyle. Not a full beard, but something that resembles a day’s growth. He probably also comes with his own voice and sounds.
We don’t know how Mario and Luigi will work together (if at all) or the price of the Luigi starter set. However, it seems to come with more bits and numbers, so anything higher than Mario’s $ 59.99 seems plausible.
LEGO still hasn’t officially confirmed the set, but if it does, we’ll let you know.
