Visitors to Disney’s California Adventure will have the chance to walk with Marvel superheroes when the Avengers Campus opens June 4. The “campus”
Disneyland resort closed for the past year due to COVID-19, but plans to reopen to California residents on April 30. Located in Disney California Adventure (the park next to Disneyland Park), the Avengers Campus offers a variety of experiences for people of all ages.
The main attraction is a virtual ride called “WEB Slingers: A Spider-Man Adventure”, which gives visitors web-sling powers while driving a “WEB Slinger Vehicle”. Interestingly, the Spider-Man ride doesn’t have a height requirement, so even young kids can experience what it’s like to be a superhero.
Other attractions such as the “Pym Test Kitchen” and the “Avengers Headquarters” let guests know what it’s like to visit a superhero college, with food like shawarma and improvised action sequences led by Captain America, Black Panther and Black Widow.
Disneyland Resort is currently closed, but will reopen on April 30. People living outside of California will not be able to visit Disneyland (or Universal Hollywood) according to current California Department of Health guidelines, which may change with the opening of the Avengers Campus on June 4, depending on the status of the reopening and vaccination plan of California.
