Check your network settings

One of the most common reasons why Netflix is ​​not working on your Roku device is if you are not connected to the internet. It may sound simple, but there is always a chance that you will accidentally disconnect. If you think this is the case, follow these steps:

  1. From the home screen, scroll to the Settings menu.
  2. Open the Network section to check the connection status of your Roku.
  3. When it says you are connected, use the Check the connection button to test the strength.

If your Roku seems to be humming just fine, you’ll find that the problem lies in your router instead. Check for updates

Some apps have a tendency to be responsive especially if you haven’t updated them in a while. Your Roku should check for updates fairly regularly when you turn it on, but you can always check them manually too. Here are the steps to follow:

  1. Navigate to the Settings menu from your home screen.
  2. Search and run it System option and choose the Software update selection.
  3. Finally, click on the Check now button. Checks for updates to the Netflix app and Roku system.
