7;s Downloads For You can download a few episodes of a show you might like, so you can watch something without network access.

Sorry iPhone and iPad users, you’re out of luck for now, but Netflix says support will be coming soon. For now this is an Android affair. “Downloads For You” is an optional feature and you must enable it. Once you do that, tell Netflix how much space it can use (1 GB, 3 GB, or 5 GB), and it will go to work.

Netflix will download a few episodes of shows you haven’t seen yet but think you’ll like. Of course, it starts with the first episode and a few after that. You also get movies to watch, but how much you get depends on how much space you are allowed to use Netflix.

Netflix says iOS support will be released later this year, and the update is rolling out to Android users worldwide. Downloads For You is free for all Netflix users.
