It's safe to say that 2020 is shitty. With the coronavirus pandemic and civil unrest, things weren't great. But aside from influencing your emotional state, the release date of that upcoming phone you've been waiting for has probably been pushed back.
Because of the coronavirus response, almost every industry had to postpone or postpone releases, and smartphones are no exception. Because factories are forced to shut down or divert to most essential materials, and most conferences are canceled to prevent distribution, your next phone may not arrive when you expect it.

According to the Wall Street Journal, iPhone production has been hit by the pandemic. Before you worry, it looks like the setback is only one month, meaning all three iPhones are likely to be released in October.
ASUS Co-CEO Hu Shubin confirmed the release of ZenFone 7, the successor to the well-received ZenFone 6. The company also plans to release ROG Phone 3, their gaming range of phones , to release. Both phones are rumored to be arriving in late Q2 2020, or late June to early July.

The entire Pixel series has been delayed due to the corona virus impact on the supply chain. According to Jon Prosser the Google Pixel 4a will not arrive until July 13, almost two months after the intended release date. There's also a good chance that the Pixel 5 and 5 XL will also be delayed, especially if Apple's release is pushed back to October.
There is a small chance that HTC will ship a 5G phone to the United States. this year. For context, the last noticeable release from the once-smartphone giant was the U12 + in 2018. It will more than likely be a 5G phone, but rumors are also going to make that HTC will be releasing a 4G phone, a midrange device that design Borrows from the Xiaomi Mi 10 and OnePlus 8.

LG has both of its highest level already released phones, including the V60 ThinQ and new Velvet. While the former has already arrived in the US, LG has officially not announced a date for the newly made Velvet. Rumors indicate that LG will be released in the US and other parts of the world in the second half of the year. Now that Q4 seems to be busy, LG is likely to release the Velvet around July or August.

After launching their first flagship phone in years, the Edge +, US customers could expect three more releases from Motorola: Edge, One Fusion + and G Fast. The Edge is a scaled-down version of their flagship with a Snapdragon 765 SoC instead of the Snapdragon 865. It will be released later this year. Then there's the unannounced Moto One Fusion +, a midrange phone with four rear cameras slated for June. Finally, there is the renamed G8 known as the G Fast, which should be released in June.

OnePlus will likely release two more flagship phones , the 8T and 8T Pro. There have been no delays, so expect both phones to arrive in October or November. However, there is a new addition that has already been delayed, the OnePlus Z. According to rumors, this is a mid-range smartphone powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 1000 chipset. Originally slated to launch side-by-side with the 8 Series, it was postponed to a new date, July 2020.

After some delay, the Xperia 1 II was finally released. During the announcement, another phone was added: the Xperia 10 II. So far, we have no news on when it will release, but with the recent release of the Xperia 1 II, expect it to arrive soon. The other possible big announcement is a successor to the Xperia 5, the Xperia 5 II.

Samsung  After the poor reception of the Galaxy S20 series, Samsung needs a victory. The next major release is two new Galaxy Note smartphones, the Note 20 and 20+. Samsung also plans to release 5G variants in the A series, the A51 and A71. All four devices seem to be on track, with the Note series coming in August and the A series this summer.

TCL started the year with the announcement of a new series of telephones under the same name as their TV series. Two of the phones have already arrived on US coasts, the 10 Pro and 10L. The 10 5G is coming later this year, although no specific date has been shared. There are also plans for new Alcatel phones, but nothing concrete has leaked so far.
