New videos about the capital’s uprising shown in Trump’s impeachment trial: watch them here

The impeachment trial against former President Donald Trump continues, with prosecutors – the Democratic impeachment managers – heading for a third day of their plea. They have about 8 hours left before the defense starts. For two days impeachment managers presented graphic videos to Senate jurors showing Trump urging his followers to march to Capitol Hill on January 6, followed by violence such as rioters shouted obscenities and fought police officers to break through the Capitol and sung for death or injury to create remarkable figures.

On Wednesday, the impeachment managers presented never-before-released security camera footage of the Capitol attack. Shot in and around the Capitol, the clips show the crowd breaking into the building and flowing through hallways trying to find the House and Senate chambers, specific members of Congress and then Vice President Mike Pence. The footage also shows Pence and his family being rushed out of the Senate Chamber to get to safety, as the rioters were already in the Capitol.
