Open Discussion: Guilty Pleasures – Senior Planet



Of course, we’ve all dutifully adhered to our routines since closing, doing our daily exercise, monitoring our diet, taking our vitamins, and engaging in healthy activities to keep our minds engaged, right?

Good….

I come out and say – as long as I don’t make a habit of it – I let go of the routines and habits.

Occasionally.

There have been whole days of moderate temperature and bright sunshine that I have parked in front of the TV for a Charlton Heston film festival. I spent nights binge-watching Peaky Blinders. I threw out a whole bag of chips in one sitting and called it dinner. (And one glorious night, I had three slices of pizza! Heaven!) I ignored the to-do list to spend hours watching dog videos.

7;t make a habit of it (but the potato chips do really hard to break!) I think it’s okay. I have long given up the fantasy that I would come out of quarantine 15 pounds lighter and speak Mandarin. I’ll be happy if I can control my weight enough so that I don’t have to butter my thighs to get out the door.
