LG is already known for its clear smart fridges. Knock on the door and you can take a look at what̵
At first you might think this is a useless command; after all, how difficult is it to open a refrigerator? But think back to every time you had a handful of groceries and had to put everything down, open a door, and get everything back up. LG thinks a voice command will solve that annoyance. Ask your voice assistant to open the door and the refrigerator will do the rest.
Voice commands are a boon to anyone with a disability; if you’re already having trouble opening the fridge door in the first place, help is welcome. LG says the clear glass panel you activate by tapping (called InstaView) is now 23% larger, so you can see more of the inside of the fridge. And it added a UV light-based disinfector to the water faucets.
How much the new smart fridges will cost remains to be seen. It will likely cost at least the same as the current generation of InstaView refrigerators, which often cost $ 2,000 or more. When LG announces prices, we’ll let you know.
