Quickly record a video from the screen of your iPhone or iPad

Yes, Apple has added a great new screenshot tool to iOS 11 that makes the upgrade practically only worth the admission price. But Apple has also added a new screen capture tool. This means that instead of taking a boring screenshot and drawing on it with digital ink, you can record and tell your iPhone or iPad screen.

To use the new screen capture function, you must first add the function button to the Control Center. Open Settings> Control Center> Adjust Controls and then tap the green plus button next to Screen Capture. More information about what's new in the Control Center of iOS 1

After tapping this button, you have 3 seconds to open the screen that you want to record.

With the shortcut added to Control Center, swipe up from the bottom of the screen of your iOS device and tap the Screen Capture button. The button starts counting down from 3, giving you the time to go to the screen that you want to record. The status bar at the top of your phone screen turns red when it is actively recording. Tap the red bar to immediately stop recording.

A hard or long press on the Screen Recording button will show you the option to microphone for recording.

Okay, but what if you want to help someone use a feature or a bug you encounter? If you have a 3D Touch compatible iOS device, press hard on the Screen Capture shortcut in Control Center. If you miss 3D Touch, a simple long press is enough.

A button to enable or disable microphone audio appears just below the record button. Tap the button to enable audio recording, and then tap Start Recording. The microphone button turns red when it is activated as a reminder that audio is being recorded. Now iOS 11 records using your device's microphone, along with what's on the screen. Tidy right?

View and share

As soon as you stop recording, the video is saved on the camera roll on your device. Open the Photos & # 39; s app to find it. You can then view, edit and share the recording in the same way as a video that you recorded with the Camera app.
