Samsung & # 39; s new shortcut on the lock screen makes your Galaxy flashlight ridiculously fast «Android :: Gadget hacks

The built-in flashlight of your Milky Way is handy, but if it takes more than a fraction of a second to turn it on, it is not as handy as it could be. Thanks to One UI 2 you are now just a swipe away from lighting the room immediately.

With the Android 10 update from Samsung you can add the flashlight as a shortcut on the lock screen. Open the Settings app and go to & # 39; Lock screen & # 39; and then to & # 39; Shortcuts & # 39 ;. Choose on which side you want the shortcut by pressing "Right shortcut" or "Left shortcut" and then choose "Flashlight" at the top of the next screen.

Now comes the fun part. Every time you need your flashlight, wake up your phone and wipe in any direction from the flashlight icon in the bottom corner. Your flashlight comes on immediately and if you need to turn it off, simply swipe the flashlight icon again in the corner. Useful!
