Save messages to Facebook
Saving something to Facebook works the same way whether you are using a desktop browser on Windows, Mac or Linux, mobile smartphone browser, iPhone, iPad or Android device.
First, find a Facebook post you want to save. Tap or click the three-dot icon in the corner of the message.
Then select “Save Post” (or Save Event, Save Link, etc.).
Things will look a little different here depending on where you use Facebook.
In a desktop browser, a popup will ask you to choose a collection to save. Choose a collection or create a new one, and click “Done” when you’re done.
With a mobile browser, the message goes directly to the standard ‘Saved items’ section. After tapping ‘Save message’, you will have the option ‘Add to a collection’.
That will bring up your list of collections and the option to create a new one.
The iPhone, iPad and Android apps work the same way as the desktop site. After selecting ‘Save message’, you will immediately be given the choice to save it in a collection or create a new one.
Access saved messages on Facebook
Once you’ve saved a post to Facebook, you’re probably wondering where it’s going. We show you how to access all of your collections and saved items.
From your Windows, Mac or Linux desktop, go to your Facebook home page and click “Saved” in the left sidebar. You may need to click “See More” first to expand the sidebar.
Here you will see all your saved items. You can organize by collection from the right sidebar.
With a mobile browser or the Facebook apps for iPhone, iPad or Android, tap the hamburger icon and then select ‘Saved’.
The most recent items appear at the top and Collections can be found below.
That’s all there is to it! This is a neat little trick for saving posts you liked or remembering to read something when you have more time. Bookmarks are always useful.
