Microsoft originally launched Windows 7 in October 2009. At the time, they offered a money-saving, specially-priced Windows 7 Home Premium Family Pack for 3 PCs for $ 149. This special Windows 7 pricing only lasted a few months and was subsequently discontinued. Microsoft recently re-launched the special offer for Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium Family Pack Upgrade (3 users). This special upgrade package contains the licenses for upgrading up to three PCs with Windows XP or Windows Vista to the Windows 7 Home Premium version.
If you are considering upgrading more than one laptop or desktop computer, Windows 7 Family Upgrade package is a bargain. The price of $ 149 is actually not much more than the cost of a single Windows 7 license. When Microsoft stopped the original Windows 7 Family Pack for 3 PCs, there were even reports that some resellers were selling the product for considerably more than the list price of $ 1
