Facebook Messenger Lite is an official, bloated version of Facebook Messenger for Android. It is faster and more battery friendly, but this is because there are fewer functions that make everything more complicated. However, one feature that they have not omitted is the ability to send audio messages.
I often go to an audio message when what I want to say cannot be transmitted in a few lines of text, but does not justify a phone call. At other times you may not have hands available to send a text message – you are cooking, driving a car or cheetos fingers. There are many reasons why you want to send an audio message on Facebook Messenger Lite, so see how it works below.
Sending an audio message
First open the Facebook Messenger Lite app and select a conversation. In your chat, tap the blue arrow icon at the bottom left of the app. When you tap this icon, a toolbar expands and you see a microphone icon. Tap the microphone icon.
Note: If you do not see the blue arrow icon, your toolbar is already expanded. Tap the microphone icon.
When you do this, a giant record button is displayed. To send your message, all you have to do is keep this button pressed. While you hold it down, your message will be recorded. When you remove your finger from the button, your message is sent.
To cancel your message, drag your finger off the button (as opposed to abruptly releasing) and your message will not be sent. Now you can send audio messages to all your friends. Have fun with your text-free communication with Messenger Lite!
