Share Apple Music songs in your Instagram and Facebook stories «iOS & iPhone :: Gadget Hacks

Sometimes we get stuck on a song that's so good we want the world to know. Sure, you can take the time to save the album art on your iPhone and then upload it to your Instagram or Facebook story, but why would you do that if you can just share the song directly to your story from Apple Music?

The feature is new to iOS 13.4.5, which is still in beta. That means you won't find it on Apple Music in iOS 13.4 or below, nor will you see it on Android phones, at least not yet. For now, the feature will remain exclusive to iOS 13.4.5 and everything to come after that, so if you are an Apple Music user on iPhone, give it a try!

Sharing to your Instagram or Facebook story from Apple Music is simple. If the song is currently playing, tap the ellipsis (•••) and choose & # 39; Share & # 39 ;. If the song is not playing, long press or 3D Touch the song and select & # 39; Share song & # 39 ;. Either way, you will see the same share sheet. Now scroll through the row of apps and then tap Instagram or Facebook whatever you like. If you don't see the app you want here, scroll to the end, tap & # 39; More & # 39; and choose the app under & # 39; Suggestions & # 39 ;.

As soon as you tap the app, Apple Music starts creating the story. If this is your first time using the feature, Apple Music will ask to launch the respective app. Tap "Open" and iOS will launch the app and story editor, complete with the song you chose. The background colors match the album artwork, creating a cool effect that matches the mood of the song. However, the song itself does not play. Friends can tap the artwork instead to launch Apple Music on their side.

While the new feature is exciting, it is not exclusive to Apple Music. In fact, other streaming services like Spotify, Shazam and Pandora have been sharing Instagram stories for some time (Pandora can even share to Snapchat stories). Apple Music seems to be the first to share directly to Facebook stories, so hopefully we'll see the same functionality on other streaming platforms as well.

If you want music to play in your story, give the "Music" feature on Instagram and Facebook a chance to play 15-second clips of each song in their database. Facebook Messenger does not have the function.
