Despite playing without a bubble during the fall and winter of an unprecedented pandemic, somehow the NFL has the Super Bowl 2021. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will represent the NFC, while the Kansas City Chiefs will represent the AFC as they strive to become repeat champions.

The Super Bowl is this Sunday, February 7 at 6:30 pm ET (3:30 pm PT) on CBS.

There are plenty of compelling storylines to this title fight: young gun Patrick Mahomes versus veteran Tom Brady; the Chiefs aim to become the first team to repeat since Brady̵

How can I watch the Super Bowl for free?

Those looking for a free, legal way to watch the Super Bowl this year have plenty of options.

As mentioned above, CBSSports.com will stream the game on its website without the need for pay TV authentication. Mobile apps for CBS Sports, the NFL app and Yahoo Sports will all stream the game for free on phones and tablets as well.

Those who want to watch on a TV can do so with the CBS Sports app on Roku, Apple TV and Amazon Fire TV. Other options include AirPlaying from an iOS device or Chromecasting to an Android TV or Google Chromecast streaming dongle from an Android phone or tablet. If none of that works, you can always connect a computer to the HDMI port on your TV.

Locast, a nonprofit streaming free channels in 28 markets across the country, will also stream CBS. Available in web browsers, Locast also has apps for iOS, Android, and major TV platforms, including Roku, Apple TV, Android TV, and Amazon Fire TV. How can I watch the Super Bowl on a live TV streaming service?

This year’s game is on CBS, which is available on most live TV streaming services with the notable exception of Sling TV.

Exact channels vary based on where you live, but the The best services for NFL fans are YouTube TV and FuboTV.

Will Super Bowl 55 stream in 4K?

No. Last year’s Super Bowl was broadcast by Fox and is available in 4K HDR, but this year CBS won’t be offering the game in 4K at all. The problem, like everything else, seems to be the pandemic: CBS Sports Digital told CNET it needed to shift its focus to keep more of its operations at bay for this year’s broadcast.

Where is the game played?

Super Bowl 55 takes place in Tampa Bay at Raymond James Stadium, home of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The NFL makes the Super Bowls sites known years in advance, but this year marks the first time that a team hosting the Super Bowl will actually play in the big game.

Are fans allowed?

According to the Tampa Bay Times, Super Bowl 55 will have 22,000 fans in the stands, including 7,500 vaccinated health workers.
