You can create up to five different user profiles with your Chromebook. Fortunately, you don̵

7;t have to return to the login screen every time you want to switch between the two. Here’s how to instantly switch between users with just one keyboard shortcut.

If you don’t have multiple users yet, you can add a new person to your Chromebook as you normally would. You can do that by simply logging out of your existing account (with Ctrl + Shift + Q) and selecting the “Add person” option at the bottom of the lock screen.

Both of your accounts are now eligible for the Instant Switch option, which means you don’t need to enter a passcode to go back and forth between accounts.

You can repeat this process for as many user accounts as you want.

To use the instant swap feature, click the status area again and simply select an account you want to sign in to under the display images menu.

Your Chromebook automatically authenticates you and takes you to that account without asking for the passcode. This is especially useful if you keep separate profiles for your work and personal life on your Chromebook.
