Texting your command instead of speaking out can be useful if you preferon your Amazon Echo, but still want access to everything Alexa can do. It’s also useful if you’re in another room and don’t want to shout a command to your Echo speaker.
To start, open the Alexa app and tap the new one Keyboard button in the top left corner of the screen. Here you can type a command, for example ‘turn on the lights’ or’. You can also search for something in the app from this screen. For example, if you are looking for a specific or try to get it .
