Whether it's deleting a few photos or sharing a number with another app, there are times when you need to select multiple photos at the same time. This is usually annoying because you have to tap on each photo that you want to select, but there is a much faster way to select batches.
Open Photos & Choose "Select" in the upper right corner. Now slide your finger from left to right over the desired images and a blue check mark appears on each selected photo. If you want, after scrolling aside to initiate the gesture, you can then scroll up or down to continuously select images while scrolling.
The great thing about this method is that you don't have to do it all at once. For example, you can slide your finger across a row, remove it from the screen, and then slide on a new row to continue selecting.
