In older Android versions, you could flood your status bar with a wall with notification icons. But starting with Android 9, Google has managed to see only four icons by default, and it was mostly done to accommodate notched phones. But the only notched phone from Google is the Pixel 3 XL, so what if you literally have a different Pixel?
Google & # 39; s own Pixel 4 is actually the perfect candidate to allow more status bar icons, as it was one of the few Android phones of 2019 without cropping. That was at the expense of the trend, but enabled Google to use a real face unlocking system for Android. Anyway, if you want to increase the number of notifications on your Pixel phone outside the standard limit, view the guide below.
Before you can extend your notification icon limit, you must download the Magisk module from the well-known XDA developer Tulsadiver. Using the power of Magisk, you can go from the standard four notification icons all the way to seven as your new limit.
Since the module is not available in the official Magisk repo, touch one of the links above and save the file in the "Download" folder on your phone. If you use the squeeze function on your Pixel telephone, you can download the "Stock Active Edge Sense" version. If you do not use the squeeze function, you want to download the "Stock" version.
Step 2: Install the Magisk module
Now you have to install the module manually because you had to download it from an external source instead of the official Magisk repo. Open the Magisk Manager app to the main screen, press the menu icon on the left, go to the "Modules" section, and then press the plus sign at the bottom.
From there, find the module that you downloaded from the previous step (remember that it is in your folder " Download "must be located) and then tap the file once to start the installation process. When you are finished, press "Restart" to activate the module. After you are back from the restart, you can proceed to the next step.
Now you can have a little fun here by giving yourself as many notification icons as you can. Play some music in the background, receive e-mails, receive messages and do everything you can to receive many notifications. If you don't feel like doing this now, make it a habit not to wipe your notifications for a while. Anyway, you should now have a maximum of seven icons. Lots of fun!
Because this module works without system via Magisk, it is fairly easy to remove if you want to return to the stock notification behavior icon. Open the Magisk Manager app to the main screen, click on the menu on the left and tap "Modules". Locate the "Tulsadiver Mods Various" module in the list and press the trash can icon. After you restart your device, it will be deleted from your system.
