The OnePlus 7T Pro is a light flagship hump, but is probably not coming to the US – Review Geek

Following the recent unveiling of its OnePlus 7T, the smartphone manufacturer today held a separate event where it unveiled the upcoming launch of its new OnePlus 7T Pro and OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition.

OnePlus 7T Pro

The OnePlus 7T Pro has a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with 31

20 x 1440 pixels, a 20: 9 aspect ratio and the mandatory 90Hz refresh rate – the same screen that you see on the OnePlus 7 Pro finds. The screen is borderless and this is supported by the use of the well-known design of the pop-up camera on the front.

The rear camera consists of three lenses in a linear configuration, in contrast to the circle on the 7T. In order: a 117-degree ultra-wide lens, the 48-megapixel main camera and a 51-mm telephoto lens with 3x zoom and optical image stabilization (versus 2x and no stabilization on the 7T). Other highlights include super video stabilization, a macro mode and improved Nightscape mode.

Inside you find the same Snapdragon 855+ SoC that powers the non-Pro OnePlus 7T, although the Pro model raises the battery from 3800 mAh to 4085 mAh and uses the “Warp Charge 30T” technology that charges 23% faster than the 7 Pro, which means that the battery of the 7T Pro is refilled to 70% in just 30 minutes. The OnePlus 7T Pro is linked to 8 GB RAM and 256 GB UFS 3.0 storage (not a 128 GB option).

In general, the 7T Pro offers a mild spec boost to the company's existing flagship smartphones. Many of the same announcements during the unveiling of that phone a few weeks ago were also modified during today's presentation, such as the inclusion of a new ultra-responsive haptic engine, collaboration with PUBG Mobile to optimize gameplay. on OnePlus phones and features such as HDR10 + support, Dolby Atmos speakers, and more. One thing it doesn't offer compared to comparable flagship phones is wireless charging.

There is no US availability information for the OnePlus 7T Pro, and it is unlikely to reach the region at all, but the device is expected to ship to the UK, Europe, China, Hong Kong, and India. The prize was revealed in British pounds with the 7T Pro set at £ 549, with orders scheduled for shipping from October 17.

OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition

If the 7T Pro is not luxurious enough as it is, OnePlus works with McLaren to produce a version of the 7T Pro that is much like the stylistic contains elements that you can expect from a McLaren sports car. For example, the phone has the same papaya orange color that McLaren is known for, accompanied by orange horizon lighting and orange color schemes pre-selected in the phone's software.

Along with the use of a clear orange hue, the 7T Pro McLaren Edition comes with a cover that uses Alcantara composite fabric, which occurs in McLaren cars & provides a good grip. OnePlus said this is the first time that the material is in a phone case. The inside of the housing is covered with honeycomb patterns that help with cooling and damping.

In addition to the aesthetic improvements, the McLaren edition is only offered with 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage. Prices are set for £ 799 and units are expected to ship on November 5, a few weeks after the 7T Pro.

Shipment with Android 10, OxygenOS 10

OnePlus shared survey results about why customers continue to use the company's devices. The main reason, according to the respondents, is the 90Hz display, the second reason is the phone's fast charging technology, while the third comes from OxygenOS from OnePlus. With that in mind, OnePlus wanted to improve the software that was running on its devices.

Android 10 was introduced a few weeks ago and brings various improvements to the operating system, not least 50 new changes to the running operating system around security and privacy, such as more detailed control over which applications can access your location data. However, OnePlus notes that its OxygenOS 10 also entails many changes.

To begin with, OxygenOS 10 150 has enhanced animations that make better use of the 90Hz screen for extra smooth performance. The software can remain in landscape mode during multitasking and makes less effort to adjust between orientations.

Zen mode, which locks you out of your phone for a certain time, now has options for 20, 30, 40 and 60 minutes. The gallery app is smarter and can automatically categorize photos based on context, locations or people being recognized. Google Lens is also built into OxygenOS 10 and offers image recognition technology that lets you search for something by pointing your camera at it.

Adjustments are also simplified and expanded, from backgrounds and clock styles, to support dark mode and four color options for horizon lighting. Soon OnePlus said it would launch a feature that allows real-time translation, so if your video call someone in another language, subtitles in your language can be displayed under the call.

The company notes that it offers two years of Android updates, three years of security updates and that it is the first phone manufacturer to ship Android 10 directly out of the box. Fortunately, it is not only the latest models that can look forward to these changes. Models as far back as the OnePlus 5 are expected to receive the new Android 10-based OxygenOS 10 software.
