Telephones are getting bigger and longer, so it is getting harder to reach the notification drawer. But Samsung is here to save, because they have introduced a gesture in One UI for Galaxy devices that gives you easy access to the notification drawer on your home screen.
On your Galaxy S8, S9, S10 or Galaxy Note 8, Note 9 or Note 10, you no longer have to extend your thumb to the top of the screen or use two hands to access the notification drawer. You can be a Galaxy wizard with one hand with this simple gesture that makes navigating to your notification tray as easy as swiping down. Swoosh.
Swipe down enable for notification panel
Long press on a blank space on your home screen and then choose & # 39; Home Screen Settings & # 39 ;. From here, search and switch "Swipe down for notification panel".
When this is on, you can, when you are on the home screen quickly swipe down to lower the notification tray with a gesture. For clarity's sake, this only works on the standard home screen. If you use a modified startup program, you will notice that they usually have their own version of this gesture.
It is also worth noting that this does not work on the Bixby page on the left-most home screen. It does not work when you are in your app drawer or when you are in other apps. So it doesn't work everywhere, but it's still very handy!
