Although streaming services such as Apple Music and Spotify have dominated the music industry, radio still lives well. And why should it not be? Free music, 24/7? It is very much. That's why it's so cool that your iPhone can tune in directly to your favorite radio station, even one across the country.
In iOS 13, ask Siri to tune into the radio station of your choice, and the digital assistant follows suit. You can connect to any compatible station in the province, so make sure you use the call sign (WNYC) instead of the frequency (93.9 FM) for the best results. You know that your favorite station is incompatible if Siri refuses the request or if the assistant starts playing the wrong station.
Of course you can still ask Siri to connect to Apple Music radio stations such as Beats 1
