If the display orientation of your iPhone goes from portrait to landscape while you are in bed, it can be quite annoying, especially when chatting with others in Messages. If you have a jail-broken device, you can, however, easily resolve this headache with a free tweak.
Admittedly, you can easily turn automatic rotation on or off in the Control Center to prevent it from starting at inconvenient moments. But this disables the feature across the board, which can be a problem if you have multitasking on your iPhone and want to view other apps such as YouTube in landscape mode. This is where the NoMessagesRotate from CydiaGeek tweak is very useful. As the name implies, the automatic rotation turns off for only the Messages app itself.
Installing NoMessagesRotate could not be easier: just open Cydia or Sileo and search for "NoMessagesRotate". "Tap the tweak as it appears in the search results, then press" Install "(Cydia) or "Get" (Sileo) and follow the prompts to complete the installation.
After respring, NoMessagesRotate will automatically bake itself in iOS and run in the background to disable auto-rotation for forwarding messages without additional settings or options to play with, as such you will not find a page for the tweak in Settings, although you can be easily found in the "Installed" or "Packages" in respectively Cydia or Sileo.
