UFC 247: Jones vs. Reyes – watch, start time and full fight card

UFC 247 is almost here, and this one is absolutely intriguing. At this point Jon Jones is almost certainly the greatest hunter we have seen in the Octagon. He is essentially undefeated and has a resume that few outside of GSP can match. So if he fights on UFC 247, against undefeated dominant Dominick Reyes, you should probably tune.

But is this a squash match? Not exactly. Although Jones (rightly) comes in as a huge favorite, chances are that Reyes will get upset here, especially because Reyes' strong points match well with some of Jones's known weak points. In the past, Jones struggled with slick boxers (Alexander Gustafsson) and good leg stickers (Thiago Santos). Reyes happens to be a very slick boxer, with good sideways movement, who tends to kick extremely both against the legs and the head.

There is also the fact that Jones came extremely close to losing his last game against Thiago Santos, who fought most of the game with a badly broken knee. It's easy to forget, but once Anderson Silva looked unbeatable before he lost to Chris Weidman. Father time comes to us all.

How to look

This year, the UFC entered into a new partnership with ESPN. That is great news for the UFC and the expansion of the sport of MMA, bad news for the consumer's choice. If you mainly live in the US.

In the US you can only view UFC 247 on PPV via ESPN +. The cost structure is a bit confusing, but here are the options, according to the ESPN site.

  • Existing annual ESPN + subscribers can purchase the event for $ 65.
  • Existing monthly ESPN + subscribers can either upgrade to an annual subscription and buy UFC PPV for $ 85 OR buy the UFC PPV for $ 65 itself.
  • New ESPN + subscribers can purchase a bundle of one UFC PPV event (streaming in HD) and an annual subscription to ESPN + for $ 85. The annual ESPN + subscription is automatically renewed after one year at the price of one ESPN + annual subscription at the time of automatic renewal.

You can do all of the above through the link below.

Juan Adams vs. Justin Tafa
Mirsad Bektic vs.. Dan Ige
Derrick Lewis vs. Ilir Latifi

Alex Morono vs. Kalinn Williams
Andrea Lee vs. Lauren Murphy

Early Prelims
Miles Johns vs. Mario Bautista
Domingo Pilarte vs. Journey Nelson
Andre Ewell vs. Jonathan Martinez [19659033] Is it worth buying?

It is a very heavy card. UFC 247 is one of those "big" cards with two title fights, but the second title fight is Valentina Shevchenko against Katlyn Chookagian and Chookagian has about as little chance as you can get (Shevchenko is a favorite of -1100). Not only that, but Shevchenko & # 39; s final title fight was one of the dullest championships in recent history.

The map, however, contains Derrick Lewis, one of the greatest personalities in MMA.

But the real selling point is the most important event, which is incredibly attractive. That's a fight you don't want to miss.
