Video meetings can feel boring and repetitive, especially if you do them every day. Zoom has plenty of tools like virtual wallpapers to spice things up a bit. If that’s not enough, you can change your look with fun AR face effects.

To start, update to the latest version of Zoom and then start a video call on your Windows 10 PC or Mac. Then click on the small arrow next to the “Stop Video” button.
Select ‘Choose Virtual Background’ or ‘Choose Video Filter’ from the pop-up menu. Both will take you to the same place.
You are now looking at the virtual backgrounds and video filters. Select “Studio Effects” in the bottom right corner (it may be referred to as a “Beta” feature). The first time you open Studio Effects, you will be prompted to download and install additional files.
The Studio Effects are made up of three sections: ‘Eyebrows’, ‘Mustache and Beard’ and ‘Lip Color’. Select one of the effects to immediately apply it to your face.
When you select eyebrows or facial hair effects, color options appear below. Click on one of the preloaded colors or select the color wheel to choose a custom color. You can also adjust the transparency of the effect.
If you want your face effects to be automatically displayed in all meetings, check the ‘Apply to all future meetings’ box.
When you are done, click on ‘Close’. Keep in mind that the face effects will appear on your video in real time as you adjust them.
