Use the new keyboard in iOS 13 and iPadOS

The new keyboard in iOS 13 and iPadOS contains some surprises, including a swipe function, new Animoji and Memoji stickers.

Typing on that small keyboard on your iPhone (or the larger one for iPad) can be slow and inconvenient. Even with features such as predictive text and automatic correction, you still have to take those small keys to create a text message, email, note or document.

No more. With iOS 1

3 and iPadOS, you can use a swipe-to-type feature known as QuickPath to make your words and phrases easier. It is similar to the glide option that has long been available on the Google Gboard keyboard and other third-party keyboards for Android and iOS devices.

With QuickPath you simply slide your finger from one character to the other to build each word. The function uses some artificial intelligence to determine the word that you are trying to spell and how to deal with it. QuickPath is not perfect. It does not always predict your word correctly, especially if it is a name or an unusual word. You also still need to enter numbers, certain punctuation marks, and other characters by tapping them. But it is effective and fast enough that you will just love it using the standard typing and typing method.

The new mobile operating systems also have a few other cool features for your keyboard. View them below.
