It can be difficult to fall asleep if a million things run through your head. Did I remind you to send that email? Feed the goldfish this week? Should I have done that differently? It is enough to keep someone awake at night, especially if you do not get ($ 1
Alexa can help you fall asleep by using guided meditation and relaxation sounds to clear your head. The bot can even read bedtime stories to your little ones to help them fall asleep. Here's how you can start on your journey to relaxation and peaceful sleep.
Use guided meditation to calm your mind
Before you go to bed, you must really think about relieving your mind of all the stress of the day that you have encountered.is a great form of stress and anxiety relief that can help you relax and calm your mind enough to soothe you to sleep.
Your Amazon Echo has built-in meditation, so all you have to say is "Alexa, open Guided Meditation." There is a meditation of the day, so you always have a new one to follow.
Falling asleep with rain sounds
If you fall asleep easily when it rains outside, you'll love this one. It straightens me to sleep. Just say: "Alexa, play rain sounds" and your Echo immediately evokes the sound of a shower.
It keeps playing until you tell Alexa to stop. But if you don't want rain sounds to play all night, you can alwaysto have it stop at a certain time. When creating the action, select Device Settings and tap Stop Audio .
Try the Sleep and Relaxation Sound skill
If you want to fall asleep every night with a different sound, this is a good skill to use. It has more than 125 sounds to choose from, including thunderstorms, ocean sounds and crickets. When you're ready to snooze, just say "Alexa, tell Sleep Sounds to play thunder" or whatever sound you want to hear. You can set a sleep timer so that it does not play all night by saying, "Alexa, set a sleep timer for three hours."
To download it, open the Alexa app, go to your Skills section and type "sleep" in the search bar. Scroll until you see the skill Sleep and relaxation (it has the highest ratings). Select it and tap Enable to use .
Sleep with a night light on
Not everyone can sleep in a pitch-black room and distract a TV when trying to snooze. If you only need a little bit of light, use the ring lamp of your Echo. Just say "Alexa, open night light" and the top of your Echo will glow and pulsate.
This is especially useful if you notice that you have to get out of bed at night because it provides just the right amount of light. When you are ready to turn off the night light, simply say "Alexa, stop."
Let your children sleep with a short bedtime story
If you are busy finishing work or shopping at home, you can have Alexa read bedtime short stories for your little ones. You must enable skills in the Alexa app (there are several to choose from). The skill Short bedtime offers nine different stories that can be edited to include your child's name.
Once the skill is turned on, you can say, "Alexa, open bedtime stories and play all stories" or "Alexa, open bedtime stories and play Little Red Riding Hood." If there is a story that your child doesn't like, they can say "Alexa, next" to skip and move on to the next story.
