Prime Day is one of the biggest sales events of the year, and it’s often the best time to buy discounted TVs, computers, headphones, and other expensive items on Amazon. This year̵
What to expect from Prime Day 2021
Prime Day starts on the morning of June 21, but Amazon is constantly introducing new deals and discounts during the two-day sales event. The company also hosts sporadic Lightning Deals, which last only a few hours at a time. In short, Prime Day is a bit unpredictable (which is why you should bookmark this article – it will turn into a constantly updated list of the best Prime Day deals on June 21).
Unless you’re Nostradamus, which you probably aren’t, you’ll find it hard to predict when Prime Day deals will go live. But due to past Prime Day events, we have a good idea of which brands will be participating and which types of products will receive the highest discount.
Prime Day is actually the best time of year to buy Amazon products, and in 2020 we saw discounts of up to 50% on Fire tablets and Echo smart home devices. Samsung and Google flagship phones also often get 20% to 40% off during Prime Day, and if you’re looking for Bluetooth speakers or headphones, you’re almost guaranteed to find a good pair at 40% off.
TV and streaming brands like Roku, TCL and VIZIO also tend to go hard on Prime Day. And you won’t have any trouble finding cheap charging accessories or SD cards at the sales event, as Anker, RAVPower, and SanDisk tend to discount their entire catalog.

These and similar products should receive significant discounts during Prime Day 2021. Please note that smaller items, such as charging cables and computer accessories, will also be available for purchase during the two-day sales event.
How To Prepare For Prime Day
Last year’s Prime Day kicked off in October and kicked off nearly two months of random “Black Friday” sales events from various retailers. But Amazon is hosting Prime Day this year on June 21 and 22, bringing the event back to its summery roots.
Keeping Prime Day in June should keep Amazon from selling out too quickly, as the average customer isn’t looking for Christmas presents yet. In other words, it’s the perfect time to start shopping early for birthdays and holidays.
For a successful Prime Day, and this tip is really important when you’re doing Christmas shopping, start building a wish list now. Not only will the wish list help you remember what to buy for yourself and others, but if you add some similar items to it (headphones, TVs, etc.), you can use it to compare retail prices between brands.
