If you one of the first of the hundreds of millions of Americans who use the Covid-19 vaccine, or even the latter, you need to know where to get one. Now that it has been Pfizer vaccine formally accepted by the Food and Drug Administration, states expect the first vaccine kits before the end of the month. And just like the number of doses available, where you can get vaccinated will likely be limited at first.

A good place to start would be to call your health care provider for the best options to make sure you have full coverage as some locations may charge administration costs. Also keep in mind that smaller hospitals may not get COVID-19 vaccines right away, with larger health facilities having most of the coronavirus patients expected to get the lion’s share.

According to the Kaiser Family Foundation, each state will have to approve hundreds of thousands of proposed vaccine distribution sites.

You may have fewer choices if you are in one of the first groups to receive the immunization. More options may be ready by the time sufficient vaccine doses are available for people in later groups.

Again, the facilities that can offer the vaccine will have to start up their protocols, get approval to officially distribute the vaccine, and receive adequate doses to treat members of the local population.
