Where to Buy Xbox Series X and S: Updates at Best Buy, Amazon, GameStop, Walmart, and more retailers

It has been months since Microsoft released the Xbox series X, but demand for the new console still far outstrips supply. Any inventory that retailers get sell out quickly in minutes. As with the PS5, that’s it now fastest-selling console in US history, finding the Xbox Series X in stock at major retailers such as Amazon, Best Buy, Target, Walmart and GameStop has been difficult. This is partly due to the pandemic, which many people are looking for more entertainment options to enjoy at home. But that doesn̵

7;t make it any less frustrating when you’re one of the many people who spent hours online trying to buy the elusive console, but ended up with the dreaded ‘sold out’ message for your efforts.

However, there is hope on the horizon: in recent weeks we have seen more frequent declines in stock at major retailers. And the fact that retailers are announcing Series X and Series S restocking in the first place means your chances of holding onto a new console are growing. The $ 500 Xbox Series X is the game console of choice for its 4K video and 120Hz refresh rates. But if you don’t have a 4K TV, the all-digital one Xbox series S. costs a much more reasonable $ 300.

Check here regularly for the latest news on Xbox console inventory updates. You can also keep an eye on Xbox availability yourself – Twitter is a popular (if not entirely reliable) source of Xbox refill rumors. But here at CNET, we occasionally get an update directly from retailers and other tipsters about upcoming stock replenishments, and when we do, we get the word out immediately.

This much is true: It will likely take months for the normal Xbox Series X stock levels to hit major stores, so if you don’t bother, getting your own Xbox for the summer will likely be challenging. Microsoft recently said it expects stock to be short until June

After this list of related stories, you’ll find a list of all major retailers (and high-profile resellers) where you can track Xbox stock updates and availability.

Possibilities for replenishing Xbox Series X

You can find both the Xbox Series X and the cheaper Series S on the same Amazon product page.

This is the product page for the Xbox series on GameStop.

You may also want to visit the store’s Xbox landing page to see both new consoles, but here’s the product page for the Xbox Series X.

If you want the latest Xbox Series X news, there’s probably nowhere better than Microsoft’s own Xbox Series X homepage.

This is Target’s product page for the Xbox Series X.

Here you can buy the Xbox Series X from Newegg if the retailer has stock.

Here you can find the Xbox Series X at Best Buy (when the stock drops).

We highly recommend that you wait for stock to appear at regular retailers so that you can purchase an Xbox Series X at its regular retail price. But if you just can’t wait, keep in mind that the average price of the Xbox Series X on eBay is about $ 800.

Are you willing to pay a premium of hundreds of dollars over the list price? We don’t recommend this, but StockX is a reputable eBay-style site that lets you buy a new Xbox – as long as you’re willing to pay $ 650 or more.
