As reported by Windows Latest, the Edge browser Office Viewer and Windows Search integration should help streamline your work on a desktop or laptop. Office Viewer allows you to view Word, Excel and Powerpoint files without leaving your browser, eliminating the need to download files (and potentially download malware). And with the Windows Search integration, you can look up your browsing history, bookmarks and more using the search function in your taskbar.
First spotted by XDA developers, the new Edge tab sharing feature makes it a lot easier to switch between your PC and Android phone. Tab sharing allows you to right-click on a tab to send a page to other devices signed in to your Microsoft account. As in Chrome, this feature is also available as a dedicated button in the address bar.
You can now test Office Viewer and tab sharing in the latest Edge Canary build. The Windows Search integration is not working properly yet, probably because Microsoft needs to update Windows 10 to support the feature.
