Xbox Series S Replenishment Updates: Receive stock drop notifications for Walmart, Amazon, Best Buy, Target, and more

This story is part of Christmas gift guide 2020, CNET’s gift choice with expert advice, reviews, and recommendations for the latest tech gifts for you and your family.

If you are looking for one Xbox series S. – and frankly, who doesn’t – I have some bad news for you. Despite debuting over a month ago, the next generation console has been virtually impossible to find ever since. A few retailers have had some declines in inventory over the past four weeks, but that wasn̵

7;t far enough to meet the demand, especially when regular users had to compete with bots and resellers.

The Xbox Series S isn’t just a powerful update to Microsoft’s console franchise, it’s the smarter of the two new consoles you can buy. Priced at just $ 300, it’s the little brother of the $ 500 Xbox series X. It all plays the same games, but it’s limited to 1440p resolution (vs.4K on the Series X), lacks an optical drive, and only has half the storage (500GB vs.1TB) – but that’s expandable with add-on drives and Microsoft automatically loads less ambitious textures to better optimize memory space. Our advice is that if you don’t have a 4K TV, this is the better console to buy because it’s cheaper and doesn’t write many checks that your TV can’t cash.

In recent weeks, Twitter has become a clearinghouse for rumors and speculation about upcoming restocking from online retailers, as well as trade stories about several Xbox whales escaping. A few retailers – and Walmart in particular – have stated quite clearly that stocks are going down. Additionally, a handful of Twitter accounts have shared rumors and speculation about upcoming restocking at online retailers. But it is difficult to know who to trust; there are reports of imminent restocking that sound promising but are probably just dragging.

So what’s your best bet? Follow the news on Twitter if you feel like it. It’s a good source for instant updates and you might be in luck. But we’ll also keep you updated on what retailers like Best Buy, Walmart, Amazon, GameStop, and Target are planning here.

Please check back to this page regularly as we will update this article when we know that there is imminent stock drop at any of these retailers.

Xbox Series S: Check the stock replenishment

Here is Walmart’s Xbox Series S order page. The retailer occasionally notifies customers of inventory loss via Twitter.

Best Buy was the last retailer to withdraw during its pre-order day in September, but it is just one of many stores now offering the Xbox Series S.

Amazon’s order page lists both versions of the next-gen console: the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S.

This is where you can buy an Xbox Series S from Newegg.

If you want to buy the new Xbox from GameStop, you can go here.

Target also has a page for the Xbox Series S.

Microsoft is offering the Xbox Series S for $ 300, or as part of the Xbox All Access plan, which includes the Series S and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, and costs $ 25 per month for 24 months.
