Xbox Series S topped up before Black Friday? Check availability at Amazon, Best Buy, Target, and more

But the Series S sold out quickly on pre-order day in September, and most of us had to wait until launch day, November 10, to claim a console. If you didn’t get one either, you have to ask yourself, how much stock is there actually this week? That’s hard to say, as Microsoft has said little about how many units it will put on sale.

This is true: while Sony’s The launch of PS5 was online only, both flavors of the Xbox were initially available both online and in stores. The Series S sold out quickly and we expect limited quantities for the remainder of 2020. Don’t expect to see it in stores or online until Black Friday.

Unlike many retailers, Walmart has done a respectful job of notifying customers when exactly the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S will be in stock. According to Walmart, your next chance is to buy an Xbox online 6 p.m. PT / 9 p.m. ET on Nov. 25, the day before Thanksgiving.

Best Buy and GameStop are also teasing Xbox availability for the week of Black Friday, but haven’t provided specific details.

At least one CNET editor has been able to score the Xbox Series S on Amazon. The inventory has since disappeared there, but if you want to try your luck, we’ve rounded up all the major retailers currently offering the console for sale.

Best Buy was the last retailer to withdraw during its pre-order day in September, but it is just one of many stores now offering the Xbox Series S.

Amazon’s order page lists both versions of the next-gen console: the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S.

Here is Walmart’s Xbox Series S order page. Walmart says your next chance to buy an Xbox online will be 6 p.m. PT / 9 p.m. ET on Nov. 25.

Microsoft is offering the Xbox Series S for $ 300, or as part of the Xbox All Access plan, which includes the Series S and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, and costs $ 25 per month for 24 months.
