If you’re like millions of other Xbox gamers, you’ve jealously tried one(or maybe even one ) since the console’s launch on November 10. However, demand far outstripped supply and sold out within minutes at every major retailer. There have been a few additional drops in inventory in the weeks since, but in all cases, few customers managed to get hold of a unit. This is partly because resellers are fooling the average consumer.
Some gamers rely on Twitter for news and speculation about when online retailers will replenish the console next, as well as to exchange stories about various Xbox whales that have escaped. And there are occasional reports of upcoming restocking that sound promising, but are probably just dragging.
For example, today Twitter user @Otis_WC reports, “Expect to see an addition of PS5 and Xbox Series X at Target in the coming days. No official date yet, but some stores are starting to receive more consoles. Stay tuned for an official date. . “Credible? Hard to say. But if we hear anything more about a supplement at Target, we’ll let you know here.
So what should a gamer do? Follow the news on Twitter if you feel like it. It’s a good source for instant updates and you might be in luck. But we’ll also keep you updated on what retailers like Best Buy, Walmart, Amazon, GameStop, and Target are planning here, while keeping our expectations in check. Microsoft confirmed that on November 16.
However, that doesn’t mean there won’t be an occasional stock drop, so it’s worth keeping an eye out for topping up. What follows is a list of the most important retailers selling the Xbox Series X. Our advice is to look for the retail price of $ 500 and avoid those expensive shopping bundles (which include external controllers, accessories, and games).
Xbox Series X: Check the stock replenishment
Amazon sells the Xbox Series X and the cheaper Series S from the same product page.
Best Buy was the last retailer to return in the September pre-order days, but is now ready for your Xbox Series X purchase if stock permits.
GameStop had hailed “a very limited number of Xbox Series X and S console bundles for sale,” but they are currently out of print.
Walmart does a good job of listing availability windows for PS5 and Xbox on its Twitter feed. You may also want to visit the store’s Xbox landing page for both new consoles.
If you want the latest Xbox Series X news, there’s probably nowhere better than Microsoft’s own Xbox Series X homepage. Here you will find the latest specifications, announced game titles, details about the new controller and more.
This is Target’s product page for the Xbox Series X.
Here you can buy the Xbox Series X from Newegg if the retailer has stock.
Are you getting desperate yet? Are you willing to pay a premium of hundreds of dollars over the list price? Listen, we wouldn’t do this and we don’t recommend that you do it. But if you want to go that path, StockX is a reputable eBay-style site that lets you buy and sell new Xbox and PS5 models – as long as you’re willing to shell out over $ 750.
