Amazon is opening two new options for the lenses of its Echo Frames smart glasses. In addition to the standard lens, you will soon also be able to opt for blue light filtering lenses or polarized sunglasses. All three options cost $ 269.99.
The Alexa glasses have a built-in speaker and microphone, so you can access the voice assistant, hear notifications, listen to podcasts (or music or audiobooks), or make calls wherever you are. With so much functionality, the Echo Frames ensure that you don̵
The blue mirror sunglasses version will ship on May 18, while the blue light filtering lenses and dark sunglasses will ship a little later, on June 9. The glasses are shipped as is, so those requiring a prescription will still need to visit an optometrist pay for that separately.
Keep in mind that while the battery for the Echo Frames claims to last around 14 hours, if you use them really heavily for multiple tasks at once, they won’t last that long. Amazon states that you get up to four hours of non-stop listening enjoyment per charge, but being more intermittent about things will give you access to Alexa and more for most of the day.
You can now grab a pair of Echo Frames for yourself with any of the three lens choices now on Amazon. You can also select the frame color, with options such as Classic Black, Horizon Blue, and Modern Tortoise. The standard lenses cost $ 249.99, while the sunglasses and blue light filter lenses both cost $ 269.99.
