YouTube TV has a pretty good selection of cord-cutting streaming services, but there are a few notable gaps compared to most standard cable setups. Some of those gaps will disappear this summer, as CordCutters reports that YouTube TV will expand its selection of channels from the ViacomCBS media group.
The following channels should be released soon:
- ] Comedy Central
- Paramount Network
- TV Land
… with later channels coming in a batch later:
- BET Her
- Nick Jr.
- MTV Classic
The channels should be broadcast on the same schedule as their cable counterparts, with full compatibility for the online DVR functionality of YouTube TV. Current CBS content, including local CBS partners and The CW, will remain available in the near future.
Currently, YouTube TV costs $ 50 per month, which can be canceled at any time. That's an important feature, as we've seen these and other streaming services go up in price after expanding their channel lineups, supposedly to offset the licensing costs for the content.
